Electronic Equipment

Electronic equipment such as TV’s, DVD players, video cameras etc. should be recycled by either returning to your retailer when you are purchasing a replacement or taking it to your local recycling centre

If your equipment is in working order, consider donating it to a charity or local youth club etc, give it away on Freecycle or similar, or you could see if it would be snapped up on eBay.

Electrical and electronic items contain precious metals which should be recovered to be reprocessed for new equipment, householders are now covered by the duty of care and must ensure they only pass their waste to a registered waste carrier or other approved person.
