Tools for Self Reliance has helped to relieve poverty in Africa by supporting small businesses. Each year they put tens of thousands of refurbished tools and sewing machines into the hands of people who really need them.
With every trades person better equipped and trained, and with every new business nurtured, Tools for Self Reliance moves one step closer to achieving their mission.

When they started, the tool collection and refurbishment process provided people in the UK with the opportunity to work together for the greater good. Today, there are hundreds of volunteers in Tools for Self Reliance groups all over the country, collecting and refurbishing tools, and there are scores of others collecting tools, raising money and publicising their work.
