European Recycling Platform (ERP) was founded in 2002 as the first pan-European organization to implement the European Union’s regulations on the recycling of electrical and electronic waste (WEEE Directive)
Their mission is to develop high-quality, cost-effective recycling services for the benefit of producer members, consumers and ultimately the environment and society.
ERP UK is one of the UK’s largest WEEE, batteries and packaging compliance schemes. They work with over 100 producers of electronics, collecting and treating WEEE, waste batteries and packaging on their behalf.
ERP UK also recycles waste electronics and batteries from over 400 sites across more than 50 local authorities in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. They work closely with its local authority partners supporting and implementing a wide range of initiatives to increase WEEE and batteries recycling. ERP has reused and recycled more than 400,000 tonnes of WEEE and waste batteries since 2007 in the UK.
