Foundry Wood is a managed access community woodland. Through volunteer work parties, they have made the site accessible by creating paths and facilities for all to use. Now the woodland is open most days for you to enjoy this unique natural environment.
From forest schools to heritage walks, craft workshops, nature trails and much more, Foundry Wood has a range of fun educational activities and interests to suit all ages.

Join Keir Mitchell from Enharmonic Education for regular fortnightly Forest School sessions at Foundry Wood! Your children will have lots of fun in the woods doing some exciting (and sometimes risky) activities safely.
Lots of activities are available such as campfire cooking, fire lighting, clay work, story telling, whittling and tool use, dens and role play, nature activities and foraging for food.
