Lids

Different councils have different rules, but generally speaking, metals can easily be separated and recycled. First with a magnet to pull out the ferrous, then a linear accelerator to remove non-ferrous. Anything (mostly) metallic then gets thrown into a vat of similar molten metal, where residual plastic will burn off very quickly. Because of the high temperatures involved in metal processing, there is usually little problem recycling metal “with bits attached”.
