Help Clean Up London’s Waterways with Thames21

Thames21 believe that putting healthy rivers back at the heart of community life is the key to reconnecting people with nature and each other.
Help Clean up London’s Waterways February 2017

In today’s modern world, waterways are often overlooked or unloved by the sometimes isolated and stressed communities that surround them.
Thames21’s aim is to rebuild the relationship between communities and their rivers; restoring their health and vibrancy and boosting well being and community cohesion in the process.
Rivers, canals and stretches of open water are the perfect antidote to urban living – which is one of the key reasons thousands of volunteers help us re-wild and protect them every year.
They focus on delivering Environmental Improvements, Education, Research and Advocacy work across the capital to achieve their goal.

From their popular Love the Lea project, outdoor classrooms on the River Brent, to monitoring the water quality of the Thames and becoming a guardian of your local river with their credited training programme, they offer engaging and inspiring ways for you to get in touch with your local river.
